This ones is not so much a recipe but a quick and easy idea. Its often a meal we eat after a long bake and delivery day.

Not the best photo - 😁 it wasn't planned and just wanted to share with our clients.

These are actually 2 Baguettes. I opened them up and put shredded black pepper and garlic pork pot roast (it was just a already seasoned one that you get in the rolled type package for around $5-6 (cooked in crockpot all day until it was tender enough to shred up with a fork) added some cheese and some jalapeno on one ( Brooke and I like a little heat.) Then toasted in oven for a few mins to melt the cheese.

We ate them opened faced - almost like a french bread type pizza. 😋just sayin.... YUM!!

2 baguettes Fed 4 adults we each got 2 half slices. (Est price if meal $8 for 2 baguettes, $5 for the Roast and $2 for Cheese = $15 )

Anne ❤️

Keith (the hubby 😁) came across this recipe for Sausage Bean Soup the other day. (Original Recipe was found on the Food Network .com ) I decided to make it last night... It was a busy MAKE day (day before a BIG Bake Day) I was rolling lots of pastas so it was a good day for the crock pot and a pasta ingredient. 😋 Used my long fermented Garganelli pasta in this stew.

This stew was so flavorful!!! YUMMY!!! I will say my daughter Brooke hates soup but really liked this so it has to be really good. 😂.

It also gave me another thing to use my beautiful locally grown carrots in. Check out these beauties.👇 I obtained them at a sweet little Bradford County farm stand right here in Starke. (Carter Farm - located on NW CR 229)

In order add to your crock pot. In a Layer of ingredients.

1 Chopped Onion

2 Finely Chopped Carrots

4-6 Cloves of Fresh Garlic Chopped Fine.

3 cans Organic (White Navy Beans) or 5 oz of Dried (I used the Organic Canned)

6-8 whole sprigs of Fresh Thyme

1 Rind of Parmesan

1 lb of Sweet Italian Sausage Whole (I think an Apple Sausage would be great also) SWEET to me is important in this recipe ... It just goes so well with ally the flavors.

14.5 oz can of Fire Roasted Tomatoes

3 cups if Organic Chicken Broth

Note: I combined the broth and tomatoes in a separate bowl and mixed them then poured over the top of the other ingredients.

Cover and allow to cook on low for about 5-6 hours.

Before serving remove the sausage links and cut into bite sized pieces and remove the thyme twigs 😁

Stir.and Taste

Add 1 cup of Pasta (I used my Sourdough Garganelli)

2 Tbsp Organic Dried Parsely

2 Tsp Organic Balsamic Vinegar

Sea Salt and Organic Black Pepper to Taste

Top with Freshly Grated (REAL) Parmesan Cheese

Serve Hot with a Thick Slice of Gutes Brot Sourdough Toast topped with Real Melted Butter and Garlic. 😋

I'm just going to say this is NOT Diet food, Not dairy free ...but it is Real and it is a creamy heavy meal (a comfort type food) one for a special occasion. 😉

This recipe will fill 1 deep dish sourdough pizza crust (we made 2 of these...and there was tons left over one slice was super filling - heavy type meal.)

As always our meals and Gutes Brot creations are a family effort. (I can't think of this stuff all by myself.)

I made the deep dish crusts and actually didn't mean to make them so (deep dish and fluffy.) but it was a happy accident and one I believe I will offer on my menu once I'm 100% comfortable with making pizza crusts.

My husband said " hummm, let's try something different. This is what we came up with. Our daughter Brooke cooked and chopped and seasoned then put it all together and baked it.

Jordyn our oldest daughter then preceded (as her creative self does) to give it a clever name. "Philly 4 Cheese Deep Dish"

Meat, Peppers & Onions

We used about a pound of Angus Beef Strips. Sautéed in a cast iron pan with a little real butter.

We seasoned with a little Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, freshly minced garlic cloves, organic black pepper, pure sea salt, organic onion powder and a little organic chilli spice. Once the meat was thoroughly cooked we added in some chopped (in strips) bell pepper, jalapeño (with seeds removed) and onions and cooked until they were just right. 😋 Note: You don't want to cook them down too much because they will bake more in the oven.

Cheese Sauce

➡ 4oz of Sourcream

➡ 4 oz Softened Cream Cheese

➡ 2 fresh minced Garlic Cloves

➡ 1.5 Tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce

➡ 1/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese

➡ 3/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese

➡ About 3/4 Tsp of Pure Sea Salt

➡ About 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper

➡ 1 Tsp of Ground Onion Powder

Combine all in a pot stir until creamy and smooth. Pour into the crust then top with sauteed meat veggies mixture and top with shredded Pepper Jack Cheese.

Bake it 425° F for about 15-20 mins until melted and slightly browned on top.

Top with some fresh parma and allow to cool for about 15 mins. Cut and enjoy!!! Dipping in a steak sauce (our favorite is A1 sauce) YUMMY😋

Avacado Dip (Guacamole)

I often love to to a toasted piece of thick cut Gutes Brot with sliced avacado or even with guacamole. I love a heavy citrus flavor of lemon and lime but for this recipe I recommended less but taste it as you make it... and adjust the flavors of salt, pepper and citrus to your liking don't just take my word for it.
I love to use my sourdough baguettes as well for soreads and dibs. Slice them thin, brush them with butter add a little garlic powder and toast both sides. They will crisp up like a cracker or croutons. Then I use these to top with Brushertta or Guacamole.

Temporary photo until I get one with bread. This photo is some of my guacamole on sourdough tortilla chips. These are chips made with sourdough but I do not offer them in my store.

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados (mashed)

Fresh lime or/ lemon juice about a tbsp. (I add both or just lime. Just something about lime and guacamole for me.)The juices also help to keep the avacado from turning brown too quickly from oxidation.

About 1/4 teaspoon salt, or more to taste

Around 3-4 tbsp chopped red onion or yellow if you prefer. I just love the color and additional nutrients of the red onion. (Onion is optional) if you have family lime me that hate that onion crunch you could substitute for onion powder to taste.

Garlic (2 cloves) grate it up and mix it in. (We use a lot of garlic on everything. We LOVE garlic and it is also so great for so many healthy reasons. A good organic garlic powder can be substituted for the fresh..just add it to taste.

Optional Kick - add a large jalapeño) Remove the seeds and stem then chop it up fine. We love ours within a kick.

Pinch or two (to taste) of organic ground black pepper.

(Optional) I just love the added color about a 1/2 tomato (less the squishy stuff and seeds.)

Serve immediately, if you do prepare in advance you can refrigerate - but the trick to keeping it from turning brown is to cover it with plastic wrap (the wrap MUST touch the top of the guacamole. ) It will keep up to 3 days in the refrigerator.

I love to make BIG batches of this when I find avacatos on sale. I make it up and then freeze in Ziploc sandwich bags. They will keep for months in the freezer. Defrost before using.

Anne ❤

This is the perfect appetizer to a holiday meal, office party or just because 😁.

Recipe

➡ 10 oz of SPINACH (it can be fresh if so cut into smaller pieces or you can use frozen but make sure you thaw it and (squeeze the liquid out of it.)

I just prefer to use fresh when I use fresh I sauté it on the stovetop for a couple mins in some olive oil.

➡ In a seperate pot on medium heat combine the following.

➡ 1 cup of Sourcream

➡ 8oz Softened Cream Cheese

➡ 3-4 fresh minced Garlic Cloves

➡ 3 Tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce

➡ 1/2 cup of Parmesan Cheese

➡ 1 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese

➡ About 2/3 Tsp of Pure Sea Salt

➡ About 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper

➡ 2 Tsp of Ground Onion Powder

NOTE: Stir until all the cheese is melted. Its easier if you shread the cheese vs cut into chunks it just melts quicker and stirs in nicely. I always say "About" when talking about pepper and salt. It's important to taste it and see. It's better to add a little and add more than to over salt something and everyone has their preferance.

Also, I used onion powder because I have a couple people who don't like onion chunks. You could substitute the onion powder with fresh diced onions and sauté them in with the spinach along with the olive oil.

➡ Now STIR the Spinach Mixture in to the cheese mixture.

➡ On a Baking Pan place a hallowed out Bread Boule and pour the mixture in. (This recipe will fit in a Gutes Brot's Standard White Boule.)

➡ Top it with an additional 1/3 cup of Shredded Mozzarella and a generous sprinkling of Parmesan Cheese.
One of our very favorite quick fall or winter meals is Potato Soup (We always put it in the crock-pot and let it cook cook all day on low) and open-faced grilled cheese or bacon, cheese and tomato. It's great on a Sunday - put it on and go to church, work in the garden or just relax all day. Cuts down on messy cooking and clean up. Using just your crock and a sheet pan - quick easy clean up ...and this soup always tastes even better after a night in the fridge (there is always plenty of left overs - this is my favorite left over for lunch.. Great for a workday, busy day, game day.... Or just because you want a comfort food. This meal is like a warm blanket - Seriously. Yummm...and Relax.

Creamy Potato and Ham Soup

Recipe~~~

In crock pot cut up ( 6 large potatos ) in squares. (I personally leave the skins on - extra vitamins and nutrients) just scrub them well under water then cut into bite sized chunks.

Fill the crockpot with about 3-4 cups of water. Just enough to cover the potatoes. 💌We will be adding more liquid later.

Add Salt, Pepper to taste
(NOTE: I always use ORGANIC black pepper. It's worth the extra $1 - non organuc pepper is know to use heavy pesticides. ALSO... We only use PURE Sea Salt. We just prefre sea salt there are many kinds of salt ro choose from ..But whatever you do choose your salt should NOT contain anti-caking/clumping agents and we can get iodine from tons of other foods naturally so don't worry that you have to have iodine added into your salt. . And Anti-caking agents have been proven to cause inflammation.) A large chunk of onion (we will remove it later) or if you are good with chunks of onion in your soup.... go ahead and chop it up to stay. (We just let ours cook with about a 3rd of an onion sized wedge and remove before serving...(we have anti-onion eaters in this house.) 😂

Add about 4 garlic cloves minced or chopped. I just shread mine with a grater. We LOVE Garlic.

And add 1 pack of cubed or diced ham. 16 ounce pack is great... Or I've done it with 8 ounces also and its still fine. (You could substitute this with bacon bits or bacon crumbles)

👉 Cook in the Crockpot on low for about 4 hours or longer (no hurry) make sure the lid is secured and moisture stays inside the pot... You could also speed things up by cooking on High for 2 hours.

💌THIS is where the CREAMY part happens💌

When taters are tender... (Remove about 2/3 cup of broth into a seperate bowl and mix 1/4 cup all purpose flour and mix really well - no lumps. (This is called a Roux) Then pour the (Roux) back into the crock and stir it in well.

Add 2-3 cups Heavy Cream and STIR

👉👉👉 Don't skip this step------ TASTE

add salt and pepper to YOUR Liking.

Add 3-4 tbsp REAL BUTTER.

Allow to cook on low for another 20 mins.

Enjoy!!!

Bacon Cheese Tomato Open-Face

Just like it sounds. ... easy peasy!

I usually slice a 1 inch thick slice of Gutes Brot's (White Sourdough) and line them up on a cookie sheet. I toast it for a couple mins in the oven under low broil - until slightly toasted.

While you do this or before hand cook some bacon just the way you like it. (Don't throw that grease away!!! Save it for another day - just sayin - We live in the South around here we save our bacon grease. ❤Then I add a thick layer of sharp chedder cheese to the bread slices. Then add some thin sliced tomato and put your bacon on top...( Tip: to keep it all together - place another piece of small piece of cheese on the top - it will melt down and keep it all in place. )

Cook at 350 in the oven for about 20 mins if using a thick cheese. If using thin slices probably only 10 mins. Until Gooey and Golden Brown.

(NOTE: Our family does not use pre-shreadded cheese (again with the anti-clumping/caking agents or they use potato starch which contains preservitives that can cause inflammation. (I'm alergic to these types of preservitives so we steer clear from them.) I also dont use sliced cheese in individual wrappers (these often contain a lot of preservitives. I also dis-like all that plastic waste. I also dont like all that unnecessary waste or the (plastic) touching our food I only use blocked cheese or the sliced cheese with the papers laying between the slices. It only takes a moment to cut or shread your own cheese. (It's the litrle things that add up)

Don't be shy ...go ahead and dunk that cheesy bread in your soup... sooooooo good!

Anne ❤

Just the other day my daughter Brooke Lynn cooked up some of the linguine noodles I make. These literally take not even 5 mins to make... Pot of boiling water and a few min's to boil.. (Real ...fresh pasta only takes a few mins to cook up.

In a Cast Iron Skillet she sautéed some jalapenos and onions in a little REAL butter, adding some organic garlic and onion powder and cayenne. Then she tossed the linguine in and sautéed them together for another min. It's definitly got a little kick of heat ❤ but a great example of how quick, easy and delicious this homemade pasta is.
